Opening Hours

Throughout the day, other than in exceptional circumstances or during staff training, our Medical Staff, Reception & Administration staff are available to help you.

When we are closed, contact the Out of Hours Service for medical advice in an emergency telephone 111

Calls to 111 are free from landlines and mobiles.

Should the surgery be shut for any reason we will display details of how to contact us and our answer machine messages will give clear instructions on how to obtain urgent medical advice. Additionally, www.patient.co.uk provides information on a variety of medical conditions and self help groups.

Extended Hours Services

Extended Hours Monday 6.30pm - 8pm and Wednesday 6.30pm - 8pm.

We are extending our hours in line with the Government's request for patients who need to see a Doctor outside our normal hours of Monday to Friday 08.00am - 6.30pm. To try and satisfy this demand from working patients we have decided that different rules must apply:-

  • These appointments are for urgents and pre-bookable in advance.
  • These are one problem appointments only
  • These extended hours appointments will be available on 2 weekdays a week being Monday & Wednesday.
  • They will be available for booking about 2 weeks in advance and will be with the Duty Doctor.
  • We expect Doctors to swap shifts on a regular basis and if you like to see your favourite Doctor then extended hours is not for you.
  • To be fair to all our patients we do not think it is unreasonable to expect patients to telephone to cancel their extended hours' appointment at least the day before, if they no longer want the appointment. If patients fail to do so then we may bar them from future extended hours' appointments.
